Product Description
800L Powder Dissolving Mixing System with High Shear Mixer and SS316L Tank
800L Powder Dissolving Mixing System for Powder-to-Liquid Processing
The 800L Powder Dissolving Mixing System is designed for controlled powder addition, wetting, dispersion, dissolution and liquid blending in batch production processes.
The system features an SS316L product-contact mixing tank, variable-speed agitation and a high-shear mixing unit. Depending on powder characteristics and liquid properties, it can be configured with powder feeding equipment, a heating/cooling jacket, sanitary transfer pump, filtration unit and automatic control system.
Compared with conventional liquid mixing equipment, this system focuses on effective powder wetting, reduction of agglomerates, uniform dispersion and controlled batch preparation.

Typical batch process. Heating, filtration and buffer storage are configured according to actual requirements.
01. Liquid Base Preparation
Treated water or another compatible liquid medium is introduced into the mixing tank according to the required batch volume and formulation.
02. Powder Feeding
Powder ingredients are introduced through a manual charging port or an optional automatic powder feeding system. The feeding rate should be coordinated with the liquid circulation and mixing capacity to reduce powder accumulation and lump formation.
03. Pre-Mixing and Wetting
The main agitator provides bulk liquid circulation, allowing powder particles to contact the liquid medium and begin the wetting process.
04. High-Shear Dispersion
The high-shear mixer generates intensive localized shear to break down powder agglomerates and improve dispersion throughout the liquid phase.
05. Dissolution and Blending
Mixing continues until the required dissolution or dispersion conditions are achieved. Processing time depends on powder solubility, concentration, particle size, temperature and viscosity.
06. Filtration and Transfer
Where required, the prepared liquid passes through a suitable filtration unit before transfer to a buffer tank or downstream production equipment.
High-Shear Mixing vs. Conventional Agitation
Powder-to-liquid preparation requires more than simple bulk circulation. Some powders form agglomerates or resist wetting when added directly into liquid.
Conventional Agitator
Creates bulk circulation throughout the vessel, maintains ingredient movement and supports general liquid blending.
High-Shear Mixer
Produces intensive localized shear to improve powder wetting, break down agglomerates and enhance dispersion.
Main Agitator = Bulk Liquid Circulation
High-Shear Mixer = Powder Wetting & Intensive Dispersion
For soluble powders, high-shear mixing can support faster and more uniform dissolution. For insoluble powders, the process is designed to achieve the required dispersion or suspension rather than complete dissolution.

Engineering Note: Final motor power, mixing speed, powder feeding rate, heating capacity and processing time should be determined according to powder solubility, particle size, concentration, product viscosity and required batch conditions.
Typical Applications
The 800L powder dissolving mixing system can be configured for a variety of powder-to-liquid processing applications.
How to Select the Right Powder Dissolving System
Powder Characteristics
Solubility, particle size, bulk density, moisture sensitivity and tendency to form lumps influence feeding and mixing design.
Liquid Properties
The liquid medium, viscosity, temperature and compatibility with the powder should be confirmed.
Batch Capacity
Nominal tank volume and actual working volume should be evaluated separately, allowing sufficient space for powder addition and mixing.
Powder Concentration
The required powder-to-liquid ratio and final concentration affect viscosity, dissolution behavior and mixing requirements.
Mixing Requirements
Wetting time, dissolution time, dispersion quality and required product uniformity determine the mixing configuration.
Powder Feeding Method
Manual charging, controlled dosing or powder induction can be considered according to powder characteristics and production capacity.
Temperature Control
Heating may improve dissolution for suitable formulations, while cooling may be required before downstream transfer.
Downstream Processing
Filtration, buffer storage, transfer pump and downstream production requirements should be considered during system design.
Recommended System Configuration
For higher automation requirements, the system can incorporate:
Powder Weighing / Controlled Dosing / Recipe Management / Mixing Sequence Control / Temperature Monitoring / Automatic Product Transfer
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the system dissolve all types of powder?
No. Soluble powders can dissolve under suitable conditions, while insoluble powders require dispersion or suspension. The process must be selected according to the material characteristics.
Why is a high-shear mixer used?
High-shear mixing helps wet powder particles, break down agglomerates and improve dispersion, especially for materials that are difficult to incorporate using conventional agitation alone.
Can heating be integrated?
Yes. A heating/cooling jacket can be incorporated where the formulation requires controlled temperature during dissolution or mixing.
Is automatic powder feeding available?
Yes. Manual charging or customized automatic feeding can be selected according to powder properties, feeding rate and production requirements.
Can the system be customized for other capacities?
Yes. Tank volume, mixing structure, powder feeding, heating/cooling, filtration and control functions can be configured according to the required process.
