Product Description
500L Cosmetic Mixing System with SS316L Tank and High Shear Homogenizer
500L Cosmetic Mixing System for Cream, Lotion and Liquid Product Preparation
The 500L Cosmetic Mixing System is designed for controlled mixing, heating, emulsification, homogenization, cooling and transfer of cream, lotion, gel and other liquid or semi-viscous products.
The system is centered around an SS316L product-contact mixing vessel and can be equipped with a variable-speed agitator, high-shear homogenizer, heating/cooling jacket, vacuum system, temperature monitoring, sanitary transfer pump and automatic control system.
Mixing structure, homogenization method, heating area, cooling capacity and control functions can be configured according to product viscosity, ingredient characteristics, batch size and required final product consistency.

01. Liquid Base Preparation
Purified water or another liquid base is introduced into the mixing vessel according to the required batch volume. Liquid ingredients can then be added in a controlled sequence according to the production formulation.
02. Heating and Mixing
Where heating is required, the jacket raises the product to the required processing temperature while the agitator maintains circulation and improves heat distribution.
03. High-Shear Homogenization
A high-shear homogenizer can provide intensive processing to disperse ingredients into the liquid phase, particularly where conventional low-speed agitation alone cannot achieve the required product uniformity.
04. Vacuum Deaeration
An optional vacuum system can help remove entrained air introduced during mixing and homogenization when air affects appearance, consistency or downstream filling.
05. Cooling and Product Transfer
After mixing and homogenization, the product can be cooled through the vessel jacket and transferred through the sanitary bottom outlet to a buffer tank, filling machine or next processing stage.
Why High-Shear Homogenization Matters
Conventional agitation primarily creates bulk circulation inside the vessel. Some formulations, however, require stronger localized shear to disperse ingredients effectively.
A high-shear homogenizer creates intensive mechanical shear in the processing zone, helping to break down agglomerates and improve ingredient dispersion.
For creams, lotions and more viscous formulations, combining low-speed bulk agitation with high-shear homogenization can provide more effective processing.
Main Features
Designed for cream, lotion, gel and liquid or semi-viscous batch preparation.

Engineering Note: Final agitator type, homogenizer configuration, motor power, mixing speed, heating/cooling capacity and vacuum parameters should be selected according to actual product viscosity, formulation, operating temperature and required processing time.
Typical Applications
The 500L cosmetic mixing system can be configured for a variety of liquid and semi-viscous product preparation processes.
Agitator + Homogenizer Configuration
Main Agitator
The main agitator provides overall circulation throughout the vessel.
Typical options: Propeller / Paddle / Anchor Agitator
High-Shear Homogenizer
Provides localized high-shear processing for intensive ingredient dispersion and homogenization.
Main Agitator = Bulk Product Circulation
High-Shear Homogenizer = Intensive Dispersion / Homogenization
How to Select the Right System
Product Viscosity
Higher-viscosity products may require an anchor or paddle agitator instead of a conventional propeller.
Homogenization Requirement
Ingredient characteristics and required final product consistency determine the appropriate homogenizer configuration.
Batch Capacity
Nominal vessel capacity and actual working volume should be considered separately to provide adequate space for mixing and ingredient addition.
Heating & Cooling
Initial temperature, target temperature, heating time, cooling time and available utilities should be confirmed before jacket design.
Vacuum Requirement
Vacuum deaeration can be considered when entrained air affects product appearance, consistency or downstream filling.
Cleaning Method
CIP spray devices and drainable piping can be incorporated for applications requiring frequent batch changeover.
Downstream Process
Transfer rate, product viscosity and distance to the buffer tank or filling equipment should be considered when selecting the discharge system.
Recommended System Configuration
For higher automation requirements, additional functions can be incorporated according to the production process:
Automatic Ingredient Dosing / Weighing / Temperature Control / Vacuum Control / Mixing Time Control / Homogenization Sequence / Automatic Valve Control / Recipe-Based Batch Control
